Check out these magazine beads that the TYWLS Explorers made today that will be strung together to make bracelets and will be sold to sponsor Helen at the Arlington Academy of Hope in Uganda!
One camper tweeted: “had so much fun doing beads with @shesthefirst. This might be the big impact to help Helen for her school fee”. Who knew a little DIY project could connect girls in New York with girls in Uganda and will work together to make an impact?
The girls of TYWLS Jamaica got an inspirational message from workers today when they experienced their FIRST rowing adventure. How exciting!!

Tammy and interns Brooke and Kate started leading the girls at Summer Explorers, the Young Women’s Leadership Schools’ summer camp, this Monday July 9th! They will be running their own Twitter and Tumblr under the mentorship of She’s the First - make sure to follow them!

Monday is a very exciting day!
It is the first day of STF Summer Camp! We are bringing a three-week social media enrichment program to the Young Women’s Leadership Schools’ summer camp in NYC. Our STF team will start with style with these shirts, and we’ve printed up some signage for the TYLWS Explorers. As their social media mentors, we are helping 140 amazing NYC girls (and their rockstar camp counselors) expand & explore their connections to the wider world this summer. Want to spread the word?
